Hi Dennis,
yep, totally forgot about those. Don't think I've ever loaded them. Thanks for the reminder.

As for the Ketron Live drums though, ( and to date I've only done the Brush Live Drum kit, so maybe this may not be relavent for some of the other Live Kits)
but this particular kit is mainly made up of different types of brush swishes , brush taps, brush hits etc
I actually do my conversion from a midifile of the style (not emc), so basically the Live Drum track is as it was recorded for the Ketron .
So figure it's probably easier to leave the Live Drum track as recorded, & create my own Live Brush kit from the sd2 samples to match, rather than to try & find korg sounds to match all those different swishes, hits, taps etc
Plus if I convert more styles that use the Brush Kit, it'll be ready to use.

Or at least that's the theory. haahaa

Hi Rikki,

Have you forgotten the Real Drums samples that Korg gave users in the World.set? I think originally it was with the PA1X series.... realdrum.set I think it was called

Hi Rikki,

Yeah I agree...I only wanted to remind you that there WERE some that Korg provided. imho, I was very disappointed they did not continue in subsequent releases to improve and enlarge that Live Drum sample base!! Some really cool sounds in that old set, even though they ARE getting old now...

For what you want to do the method you are using is the most streamlined and efficient. AND the Ketron live drums are excellent!!

In regard to the OP, I too use True Pianos, and it will be my main "go-to" acoustic piano on the new OSL rack. I have all the modules, and it is now up to version 1.95 from memory....

Hi Dennis,
I may just check them out.

My samples I'm only converting from a soundfont set I bought thru Livestyler. Disk at that stage was really cheap so had nothing to lose if what I wanted to do, worked or not.
I still have an sd2 as a backup. Must be having a senior moment currently, can't remember the correct sequence of numbers so that my korg will send the program & bank changes when midied to the sd2.

As for the True piano's, I only tried the demo version, and it was well over a year or 2 ago. One thing I do remember I was impressed that they sounded at least as good as my $5000 digital piano, if not even better. But I know I didn't proceed with purchase, and I can't remember.

Your reason for purchasing is totally different, your OSL rack is sound software based. I imagine you can't wait till you've got it all up & running.
