i have to say, apart from the tootie frutie buttons it looks much smarter. Yamaha are good at swapping colours - at least the name is the same, they normally release colour swapped keyboards as new models.
The speakers...I have a set of those from back in the day when I had a PSR8000, they are connected to my TV as they sound awful on the Audya (I use one of Barrie Cranes (RIP) Fortifiers)
Agreed. It does look better in black. What's with the purple-lighted buttons, is that the same as the silver T4? I thought Yams had reds, yellows, etc.

Last year I reported here that Yamaha was working on a completely new flagship keyboard and I asked here at Synthzone for what new features would you all like to see. That was about a year ago. I was told that this new keyboard would be in the planning stages for at least 2 years if not longer. With this in mind I think Yamaha thought they needed to do something to keep the Tyros4 alive for a bit longer than the usual 2 years. It seems like this is their answer. As I've also mentioned before, we will see a brand new 900 series by the summer NAMM show.

I confirmed with Yamaha USA this model will not be coming to the USA. The replacement for the PSRS910 will happen but it might not be before Summer NAMM 2012. No info on it but I have been told it will be quite an upgrade. Only time will tell!

So you are saying that the 10th Anniversary Tyros 4 isn't coming to the USA? Now I feel like I want one. 2500 units made... I guess they want to sell them all to the great European economy.
I guess we have to wait for January 2013 for the next generation of arranger workstations. I'll stick with my Motif XF6 for now.
