Last year I reported here that Yamaha was working on a completely new flagship keyboard and I asked here at Synthzone for what new features would you all like to see. That was about a year ago. I was told that this new keyboard would be in the planning stages for at least 2 years if not longer. With this in mind I think Yamaha thought they needed to do something to keep the Tyros4 alive for a bit longer than the usual 2 years. It seems like this is their answer.
As I've also mentioned before, we will see a brand new 900 series by the summer NAMM show.
