Apparently you can open pdf's on an ipad using Songbook+ by activating registrations. I did not know this. I know Michael Bedesem has a program called Open Text that will do this on Windows. Was anyone else here aware of this or is this news? Here is an exerpt from psr styles Yahoo forum.

This person has been using this for gigs for a year. I can't believe that I'm first finding out about this now.

"I use mine for putting a PDF lyrics sheet, of my choosing, up every time I select a registration on my Tyros keyboards. I use Songbook+ for the iPad for this. Midi comes in from a midi out port on the Tyros> to a UNO midi interface >to a camera adapter plug into my iPad. I can make setlists etc etc. I have over 500 songs in there and can pop up anything I want in seconds horizontal or vertical automatically by simply selecting a registration. I've been using this exclusively at gigs for about a year now. It works as if it were part of the Tyros. No more paper books. Very elegant. Registrations+Songbook+ is a real speedy thing. No other tablet program, to my knowledge, does this. This plus a host of other things like track backing etc."

Anyone here doing this already?

I think the next generation of big screen keyboards like the Tyros should have something like this as a built in function.

I saw a demo of an iPad app called Scorecerer... sells for $10.

It was the first program I saw that would receive MIDI data to select the song. And during the playing of a MIDI file, you can insert page changes.

Here's the website... http://www.deskew.com/

Here's a demo of it being used with Ableton Live...

I wonder if setting the registrations within a song on the Tyros is doing the same thing as this guy did in Ableton Live?!?
