I'm having a problem that is very frustrating. I'll try to explain it the best I can:

3rd Party styles (including those I purchase from Yamaha) do not save as registrations. The voices save, transpositons save, but the style does not save. I do not have this problem with the on board styles. Any ideas???

Hopefully you're problem is what mine used to be...

I'd find the 3rd party style on the internet and save it to a thumb drive...then insert the thumb drive into the T2 and tab over to the external memory section and load the style from the memory device.

I learned the hard way to copy the style from the thumb drive to the keyboard's internal memory section so I'd always have it and not need the memory device any more...

Any help?

Maby I dont help much, but you must to chek your registration setings. In that setings you must enable what you want your registration shuld save.
The best way to save style setings to registration is load style to your HD in Tyros. If your registration save style Who is in your USB stick and you delite that style from USB then registration file cant fined that style enymore.
So most bether way is store your styles and registrations to HD and dont muve that style from folder where it is.

Hope I can help

Thank you gentlemen- I save/load/ my styles and registrations the way that you describe Bill. I have not been able to find a hard drive that fits the Tyros 2. I wonder if there is enough space to save about 200 registrations on the user bank on the Tyros 2? I’ll try and see if that helps.

Paul,

You could easily save 200 registrations in the keyboard memory, however, you would max out the memory with less than 40 styles files added to the registrations. I would suggest taking a look at http://psrtutorial.com/lessons/playing/regist/10regGD.html where I posted detailed instructions on creating registrations. It should clear up many of your problems.

Good luck,

Gary cool
