Hi zoners,
I'm wondering if anyone will be checking this board out in person anytime soon. Sweetwater now has them in stock.
Please post demos/opinions as you are able.

Perhaps George Kaye can get his hands on one and give us a review?

Thanks

Actually I've had the XW-P1's for several weeks now. An amazing keyboard for this price range. The analog sounds are really fat! The PCM sounds are very good. Like the Privia piano line the pianos, electric pianos, strings are really good......Woodwind and brass are good but I wouldn't say very good. Drawbar organ is now really good with 9 steps per drawbar compared to just 3 steps with other Casio drawbar equipped models. The step sequencer is really cool and easy to use and the ability to transpose to different keys in real time using the lowest octave is a real plus. I've just started inputing a vocal mic through the filters and this is a great feature. The folks that have purchased this keyboard are all very pleased.

I think this is totally cool from casio after years of filling wal-mart with $100 keyboards this is actually pretty good return to the synth roots. And you can really pull some serious weird sounds from this.

Thank you George Kaye, John and Oscar for your replys.
Any info is appreciated. I have found that Kraft Music (20 mi. from me)is carrying them in stock and I can arrange some time with it along with playing a T4 as well.

But anyone else owning one I would appreciate your experiences, pros and cons.

Thanks to all,
OldNewb

You really have to try one for yourself.
For example while I fully acknowledged the coolness of this for very little money in my previous reply, such type of sound has absolutely zero appeal to me personally for my own stuff.

I would definitely not buy it before trying and see if it is something you can use in your music or it will be a big paperweight.
