At a pre-conference dinner recently for the local University, I was asked to do some work for the largest and oldest Christian church (read :"MONEY")in the area. It's where Annie and I were married many years ago.

They want a classical/harp duo as a regular part of their service...sight read, of course.

I'm thinking about it enough to do one piece this Sunday to see how it goes.

What do you think?

Interesting and way more demanding than I thought. Good practice to keep an old mind sharp.

I'm in, every Sunday, and a practice one afternoon a week.

Sounds like a nice gig though. You say it was more demanding than you thought it would be, in what way was that?

Coordination with another chord/lead instrument, and site reading classical music I'm not that familiar with.

Especially because upper register lead lines are abundant, and when you don't do a lot of that on an unmarked neck, it takes some getting used to.

But, hey, what's being off a fret or two among friends LOL?
