a few days ago Scott Langholff was asking about mambos. Here's a redention of Tito Puente's "Philly Mambo" I'm on the Tyros 2 and my buddy Javier Garza is on trumpet. I think the style is called "big band mambo". Nothing special- just "out of the box" Thanks for listening!

Tony, you are so lucky to have been there. I feel like I was born a bit too late.... Anyways here's the same song with a little slide show that might take back to those night clubs in NYC.

Thanx montunoman

I take it that's the Big Band Mambo on the Tyros 2? Nice song, nice jamming. Are you using any multipads with it? Do you happen to have a lead sheet for Philly Mambo?

Hi Scott, yes it's the Big Band Mambo. Nothing fancy like multipads. Sure, I can send you a copy of the lead sheet. Just PM your email. Have you found a mambo style to your liking for "Mambo Inn" yet? I'm trying to find a mambo style that sounds like the old classics especailly " Que Rico Mambo"
Some with a lite 8th note high hat and authentic percussion paterns.
