Ever wanted to know how to have a crawfish boil? Pay attention.

(Appears to me to be a video of a gig couple to a studio recording, but, hey, you get the drift.)

Nigel,
Please remove this post for sure eh?

Bill,
You're killing me man!! I'm 1500 miles away from a "Cajun Crayfish Boil."
Man I don't only suck the heads, I pull them open so that I can put my tongue in and really do a job on them. Just looking at em is emotional torture!!
This isn't right Bill, I know we're not drinking buddies, but I did think of you as a friend. I'm the only one her that is really suffering. I guess I'll go to the market and get a frozen "Crab Cake" or "Mrs Paul's" frozen fish sticks. I'm crying while typing this reply.

Tony,

I lived the first 33 years of my life in Algiers (Orleans Parish) across the river from downtown New Orleans. A couple of times when I visited from Colorado, I stayed with my brother-in-law around Covinton La.

He did wallpaper and I helped him while there. We drove across the "Causeway" every day to and from New Orleans to hang paper. I always heard it was just about 25 miles across. My Grandpa and I when a young man caught 175-200 Croker fish near the Causeway bridge on a couple of fishing trips.

Man! you're as bad as Bill with the memory torching. Ha ha!

Enjoyed the video and the singing
but I'm not sure why the keyboard was included
because it's obvious the keyboard part he was playing
wasn't heard or part of the song, as it didn't match up with the actual
song performance. I'm curious why a musician entertainer
would choose to do this.

Scott,

One of the problems I encountered with videos is synchronization between audio and video. The final format from the camera looks great on your camera review program, but when posted the lag time between video and audio can be 10 to 20 seconds. If when watching TV's local news you can see a distinct lag between video and audio. And, those folks spend millions upon millions of dollars for their equipment.

An easy fix is a simple hand clap (remember the old "clappers" used in movies about shooting films?) Start the Video; start the audio recording. Simply synch the two in the computer by starting at the clap.

Really easy. Of course, if both video and audio are in a self-contained unit...no problem.

That's not the problem with the crawfish video.
The vocals appear in sync throughout the video, rocker
yet the keyboard part he's playing throughout the song
isn't heard anywhere in that song. grin
