I’d like some input about packing and transporting equipment … Every year I play several festivals that require me to either quickly evacuate the stage and/or set up quickly. Or, like last weekend, I played on stage with a big band, did a couple of specialty things, the band did a couple of things, me for a couple of things then the band starts immediately and I had to get off post haste. I mostly use a midi accordion with a Midjay Plus, a personal monitor (most times a Bose compact), the Bose T-1 for a mixer, mic, and mic stand. Here’s my idea; a 4 space rack case with the Furman conditioner (1 space), and in the remaining 3 spaces some how pack the Midjay, mixer, mic, pedal board, and cables with as many pre plugged-in cables as possible. I was intending to use the rack case as a ‘table’ top to rest the Midjay on. My aim (fantasy); pop the rack case cover off, set the Midjay atop the case, plug in whatever cables. I’m thinking that everything should fit in the case except maybe the pedal board. I’m still trying to figure out how to secure the Midjay and mixer for SAFE transport and easy access. Any thoughts or ideas?
