What do you actually want to do with these string sounds?

Sorry this topic is going North towards the Roland's Integra-7
Coming back to the strings in a module, if you could find a used Roland xv 5080
it would still make the cut for rich orchestral string sounds. Or even the used Motif series racks have great string sounds.

For software, the list is huge with many offerings like those from east west quantum leap, ik multimedia, native instruments etc.

I want to add strings to some recordings I've made with my

accordion. Well Donny I have a G70 and a BK7 module and I like

them a lot but they don't have the nice "silky" sounding

strings which I got from my Solton M40 in the past. I am curious

as to what the SD2 and SD4 strings sound like, I could not find

any demos on Youtube

Just in case you missed it... VERY silky strings. Probably your least expensive solution, IMO.

You are probably right Diki, at present I have an SRX7 board in that slot which I use all the time.

Does anyone have any comment to make on the latest Ketron modules regarding their strings ?

Mockie, I use the -07 in my gigging keyboard, too. But replacing them is a snap at home, and if this is for a recording project, you have sufficient time to do that and get the -07 card back in for gigging.

Alternatively, you can look around for a cheap Roland JV1010 which has one SRX slot and can be got for $200 or less.

This Integra 7 has upset the lot of us, it's a serious piece of gear.

Diki, I need to correct you on your info....The JV1010 only uses a single SR-JV80 expansion board...where as the XV 2020 uses two SRX expansion boards...
