Now that I purchased a PA3X (thanks Bob!), I would like to get a case for it.
I think I want a soft case, but something that will protect the keyboard, and hold up.
I don't think it's worth getting a hard case, because that would make it a lot heavier, and a lot harder to take the keyboard around.
I'm kinda broke after buying the keyboard, so I'd like to find something on the cheaper side, if such a thing exists.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I along with it seems everybody that has gotten a case from Hybrid Case co would highly recommend this case. It is a hard case using light weight luan plywood and for the Tyros models only weighs 20 lbs with wheels. The soft cases we used weighed the same! Some soft cases weigh more. The one that fit our Tyros models by Gator Cases weighs 26 lbs!

Here is the listing for PA3X:

I believe pretty much everybody got the medium duty with carpet lining.

I would just say, can you afford to buy ANOTHER PA3X?

If not, protect it as well as you can possibly afford. Plan for the worst case scenario (LOL), not the best!

Me, I'd go for one of those rigid Gator type cases at the very least.

A fairly common scenario might be, can your keyboard case stand up to someone dropping one of your speakers on it? It can happen (trust me!). If that is enough to go through most soft, semi-soft and single ply wood cases, go a bit tougher.

Bottom line is, will your insurance replace your PA3X if YOU damage it? And will they insure your next one affordably? If not, don't skimp on the case!

Who wants to carry & lugg around one of those HEAVY coffins cases...NOT ME !!....the heavy duty Gator soft bag is more then enough for every day gigging.......At travel cases are made for just that airline and road truck traveling when stacking and vigorous touring scenarios are required with other gear...
I gig every day and never had a problem..

Tell you what, Donny. I'll come over and drop your speakers on your arranger in its case, and you can drop mine on my arranger!

Any takers? eek2

Didn't happen with me either... but someone helped me move one time!

Plus, I was in a car that someone hit at 90mph with my G70 in a case in the back. Cut off the rear quarter like a hot knife through butter, but missed the case. It got thrown around in a 360 until we hit the wall... but case and keyboard unscathed.

Life can throw all kinds of things at you.
