Thanx for the link. Sounds pretty good!

I wonder what kind of stand is being used when Martin Harris talks?

Prediction, there will be a lot of non-Yamaha arrangers up for sale following this and the Tyros version of it juggle

Machetero, Thanks for the link. This audio stuff sounds very realistic !!! And if this live sound comes out through a stagepas or a Bose, then the apparent differences between drums on these audio styles and the one`s in normal styles would surface. smile I am sure they needed to do some tweaks to the other styles so that the difference is less smile
Yamaha definitely have done a good job in improving the speaker designs. This will do justice to the quality sound coming out of the board. clap
Looking forward to try one out. smile

I'll admit this demo is a bit better then others posted.....,
but in all honesty how many so called AUDIO styles will you have to BUY and will they be plentiful for your needs...is this Yamahas way of isolating themselves from the competition so that you cant use these audio styles on other KB's with success?.. and why shouldn't EVERY style have audio drums in the future maybe on the T5?...time will tell. Who would want to play without them?

This is so depressing... here is Yamaha, purveyors of the most anemic drums available in any arranger, actually admitting that they KNOW how to get great drum sounds!

But rather than simply going out, and recording great drum KITS using all the techniques, and allowing ALL of our styles to benefit from their apparent epiphany, noooooo....!

Only 25 styles in the entire arranger are going to sound this good.

Facepalm....

Diki,

In the Yamaha way of marketing things, they only release 25 audio styles with the S950 and then if you like to own some more you will purchase from them. Each premium style for the T4 are $.8.95. I guest that the audio styles will cost the same or even more.

Look like to me that Yamaha is going to have the AUDIO styles for their keyboards for themselves. No third party will be able to create audio styles because as read in page 27 of the Reference Manual, the audio part (Drums) can't be deleted, edited or created from scratch from and for a Yamaha style.

Big difference with the Audya, where you have a bunch of audio drums kits and you can replace one kit from another in a style or even convert ANY midi base style into a audio drums style.

Well, that is Yamaha. As a user you like it or leave it. I respect their way. Maybe don't agree with some of the parts, but ................... they really make great products and have a way of testing that they usually don't have many bugs.
