Imagine my excitement when I went to Ketron Italy site, found the software menu, found the SD3 (my unit) submenu, and lo and behold, found instructions for doing an SD3 software update. Step one says to download the executable file. Gee, surprise, there is no executable file to download on the SD3 update page. Since the SD5 uses the same sound engine, I checked there and it is not there either, although even if it were I wouldn't know if it were truly compatible with the SD3... It just keeps getting better and better!

I think when you translate the page to English the file does not download. You have to leave it in Italian and it will from what I can see. As they have not given us an explanation as yet as to why this happens, AJ I would like one b4 I run the update.

Hi,I download the upgrade in english ,Its a zip file that you unzip to a floppy disk and dowload to the keyboard

Well, you were right.... when I looked at the page in Italian, the file was there to download. Too bad though, it doesn't appear as a file name, like xxx.zip, it is simply the line in bold "SD3 Software". Had my mouse not gone over that line, I wouldn't have known that was the download link. Thanks for the heads up.

But what does this update do??
Nothing to find at the Ketron site about what it fix or not....

Would be nice to know if anyone manage to find out, then I could
forward the file and news to a friend who have SD5.

just in case anyone reads this and tried to use it with an sd5:

in the case of an sd5 you need to contact your distributor with your serial number as there are two hardware versions for sd5. if you get the wrong one its bye bye sd.

i REACH MY DEALER AND HE WAS NOT AWARE OF THE UPDATE
MY sd5 WAS VERSION 1.0B and I done the upgrade just the same,when it was download in my SD5 I lost all my registrations and my program sounds that I have done
I dont know why your saying by by SD5
