Sorry Bernie let me put some clarity into make my questions.
1-I am using the Unreal Book for the lyrics or notes in my Ipad.
2-I am trying to play an audio file; not Midi file from my Ipad..
I am using ITunes to convert midi files so that I can load them into my Ipad.
Now I am ready to preform – needing both; the audio and the
music from the Unreal Book for lyrics or notes.
Is this possible or must I use 2 different sources?

PS, Now that I have written this and given it more thought I guess I trying to do a kind of VanBasco where you hear the music and see the lyric at the same time.
UB allows you to link an audio file to the chart. As soon as the chart is selected the MP3/AAC file plays

It is under the little circle icon at the top (next to the pencil icon) you can read all the hows in the manual, page 2 (new manual version 1.7) it uses something called the Quick Panel which allows the selection of a song file to be linked to the current PDF chart...

PS: nothing with MIDI yet. Audio only works as background audio is a core iOS operation, which means the music player can run in the background. There are no midi apps that allow the same operation, needing to be the "focus" app to run.
