First of all I need to tell that I'm not a trained piano/keyboard player and can not get into/or understand to complicated answers..

At the moment I got a MicroArranger and are thinking or buying a Pa600 instead. I was in a local store today and spoke to the staff and they claimed that the Pa600, with a lot of new tecnology, is better then the Pa800. Can that realy be true?

Can the Pa600 even read all the styles, program and so on, written for the Pa800?

Anyone who has any insight in this?

Regards
Jacob

Jacob,
I had a PA600 and did load with success PA00, PA1X, PA2X and PA3X resources and they all played just fine. I also loaded PA80 resources and they too played but did need STS tweaking in some cases.

Okey, that sounds great. I did find some of this info myself comparing the two Specs lists and the Pa800 hade a few more pre-installed STS, performence and so on. 16 track on both but 100.000 events on the 600 and 200.000 on the 800. Don't think the 600 has any video interface board. Of course I found other stuff like more complex possibilitys like in edeting. The 800 has "Helicon: Three-part Harmonizer" and have not seen anything about any helicon on the 600. Don't know what this means..

I believe that the Pa800 has vocal harmonizer electronics onboard so that you can plug a microphone into it to get vocal harmonies and other vocal effects for singing. Google "TC Helicon".

The Pa600 has no vocal processor for singing.

But the 600 has the amazing Chord Sequencer, and the 800 does not...

The need to drop the price and make it competitive with the PSR950, just under 2k instead of $2.8k.

Yes, it's very nice but is it possible to save it? Or is there other ways of record and save the same type of music "loop"?

I just got the Pa600 and besides all my english skills in not anywhere near top quality... frown
