the "more than one second" was with my Audya5 OS 4.2B ( and didn´t improve with 5.0 )

is everyone updating to OS 5 before their important New Years gig?
i'm a bit hesitant to be honest

and finally Ketron.it lists what's new with OS5
but it is so hidden,
you have to choose your instrument, then click that very small "News" word to find out more about it

why not just list it there on the main page, so we don't have to guess where it is

I think the only reason NOT to make the change yet is because it will reset some of your global parameters, for example "EASY 1" will be the default for arranger chord recognition. Its small but could potentially cause problems on your gig if you did not realise. I guess also you would need to make sure ACCORDION MODE is off if your using an A4 with a keyboard rather than accordion?

I have no concerns over stability though.

about install os5 before 31 december I think is problem of all people. I do it, not problem only reset some to defaule like easy mode, or list os single registration put to "number" (I use always a.b.c.. like talk tonewhell... I think I don't be afraid about it

When I connect on back I get the "USB" screen on Audya but don't know where to go from there... nothing happens. I have update downloaded into computer and Audya connected and "USB"
window on Audya and can't seem to go any further. Downloaded installation instructions but they are terrible, don't say when to turn Audya on during the process or anything.

instalation instruction is wery clear,and you cant make a mestake.

Pleas read cerfoly and start with USB conection in back USB socket.

Just finished the 4th attempt at os5 update install... nothing.
After the step where it tells you to click twice on the Audya4 icon and plug the Audya4 into computer, the next step says to click on "start updating command". There is no "start updating command" to click on. I always end-up in same place. Looks like I'm stuck on my current os level until I figure out where to send this unit for repair. Having fun with music shouldn't be this complicated :-(

I doubt very much it needs repairing. I presume you do have an Audya 4?

First of all make sure the Audya and the computer are talking to each other. If you plug the audya into your PC, does it say USB connected? If no your probably in USB HOST mode.

If the answer is YES, then un-install the program from your computer using the add/remove programs option in control panel, then re-install the program to your computer, once you have done so connect your computer to your Audya, wait until you see "USB Connected" on the Audya and then launch the updater program.
