I'm staying in over Christmas, enjoying my new digs, eating lobster(an AWESOME gift from someone in my building), a few special guests at my cozy apartment with whom I will be enjoying some hot chocolate, marshmallows, and musical camaraderie (a jam session, baby!) with my Tyros4 as the 'house band'. I haven't played at an official Christmas gig in several years, and to be quite honest, I don't miss it at all. As Uncle Dave said in a post the other day, "This is a time for 'R&R', and that doesn't mean 'Rock&Roll'. Have great Christmas Donny, and have fun playing. Ian

For the first time in decades I will not be performing on Christmas Day, and I will not spend Christmas Eve with my family. I seriously considered flying home for Christmas and surprising my wife and family, but not only was it cost prohibitive, I would have been worrying about all my music gear stored aboard the boat. Today, the temperature at Marathon Key, Florida is expected to rise to 72 degrees, which is just fine for this old man. At home, there is a winter weather warning in the western part of the state, freezing rain and snow is predicted west of Frederick, Maryland, while the rest of the state will just get rain. Merry Christmas everyone, Gary
