I can't wait to make people happy on Christmas Day playing music... I have a Christmas Luncheon job I do every year.....
plenty of time afterwards to be with my own family. A wise man told me years ago during one of my gigs he said
"Donny God gave you the gift of music.. do you know why? I said no,.. in which he responded,...so you can share it with the world" and I believe that every time I perform!!

I have a show this morning and tomorrow afternoon.

Of course, all the neighbors gather by the bathroom window when I sing Christmas carols in the shower. They come for the free show.

Monty....it was a rough ride for my daughter and her family after the Hurricane which destroyed their home.......fortunately they are safe & were able to find a new home and move in last week just in time for Christmas,.....they will all be here at my place for the Holiday Dinner we are truly Blessed.

I'm staying in over Christmas, enjoying my new digs, eating lobster(an AWESOME gift from someone in my building), a few special guests at my cozy apartment with whom I will be enjoying some hot chocolate, marshmallows, and musical camaraderie (a jam session, baby!) with my Tyros4 as the 'house band'.

I haven't played at an official Christmas gig in several years, and to be quite honest, I don't miss it at all.

As Uncle Dave said in a post the other day, "This is a time for 'R&R', and that doesn't mean 'Rock&Roll'.

For the first time in decades I will not be performing on Christmas Day, and I will not spend Christmas Eve with my family. I seriously considered flying home for Christmas and surprising my wife and family, but not only was it cost prohibitive, I would have been worrying about all my music gear stored aboard the boat.

Today, the temperature at Marathon Key, Florida is expected to rise to 72 degrees, which is just fine for this old man. At home, there is a winter weather warning in the western part of the state, freezing rain and snow is predicted west of Frederick, Maryland, while the rest of the state will just get rain.

Ian enjoy,.......I perform on ALL Holidays,......when people are Off from work that = $$$$$ & much joyfulness to both myself and the Audience. Performing music is what makes me happy, & I am fortunate to be able to make a living doing just that for the last 46+ years. I still get excited right before I go on stage just like i did when I was a kid,...it truly is a Gift!

Did a great Xmas eve party this afternoon...we were having so much fun I played an extra 1/2 hr for free as a present from me to my audience today who were so kind to me all year long,....everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.

Hell Donny you are so kind at this time of year, extra goodies for your audience, all you need to do now is send Henni the stuff he needs off your Pa3x before you sell it on ... just thought I would throw in a few extra funnies since it's xmas.
