Or, anyone else that plays outdoors in hot, humid climates. I've been playing a couple times a week in Tiki Bars, locations here in Marathon Key, Florida, where the humidity is often quite high, 95 percent or more. At night, the temperature begins to fall, and along with it, dew - heavy dew. Most of the time I'm under the cover of the tiki hut, where some of the moisture is deflected by the roof. However, by the end of the night, after just 3 hours of playing, everything is damp, including the cases.

Fortunately, the boat is air conditioned, so everything dries out in a few hours, but I'm concerned about the circuit boards in the keyboard, amp, etc... Any constructive, suggestions or recommendations will be welcomed.

The main reason I addressed this post to Diki is the location where he resides and performs regularly is right on the shores of the Gulf Of Mexico, thus, high temperatures and humidity are the norm.

Thanks,

Gary cool

My old MS-60's are played 4 nights a week for 6 months each summer, then regularly, inside in the winter. They get wet, spilled on and have condensation accumulated on them as things cool down.

They're TANKS! I use them because they're old, but they have seen 300 jobs a year for 15 years and keep on going.

your Yamaha is probably going to be fine.

There is nothing I hate more than playing outside in less than 100% perfect weather. No heat, no chill, no sun, no mist, no bugs .... hmmmm - NO OUTSIDE!

Gary, I played a three month summer season on the north coast of Crete, so similar conditions to those you're experiencing now. This was back in the day when I was toting my trusty old Hammond,

I was concerned about salt-laden condensation, but there was never a problem with corrosion of delicate parts. Maybe the organ fell into the same category as Russ' MS-60s, i.e., TANKS. I think your Yammy will be okay, too.

Don't worry about it. You will be selling the 3000 and getting a 950 before the real corrosion sets in!
