Hello fellow synth friends,

I'm a new member in this forum and here is my problem.

i own a yamaha mm6 and a yamaha dgx640. the dgx 640 is for home use, it was my first digital 88 keyboard that i used for stage performance but the weight (+/- 30kg) is awefull, it is really heavy to carry.

with this in mind, i bought a yamaha mm6 to use on stage performances, it is really lightweight (+/- 5kg).

the dgx 640 is now used only at home. and the mm6 at the studio and live performances.

I want to use a 2 x keyboard combo with my mm6, and i was thinking about the Roland Juno stage 76 keys. what do you think about this?

i really feel that i need a second keyboard that has more than 61 notes to play with the grand piano sound.

what do you guys think? what's the next keyboard i should buy to use with my mm6.

thank you in advance.

Background:
i play in a reggae fusion band (mix of reggae with other styles like jazz, blues, bossa nova, rock, pop, dub)
i'm new with synths, my first synth ever is the yamaha mm6 (i know it's not a pure synth but it was the best i could buy)

i would love to have something lightweight with at least 76keys, what has a good feel with the keys. not more than 20kg.

The Numa Organ is very lightweight and has really nice Hammond type waterfall keys. As a controller you can use the entire keyboard range (76 keys - one octave is reverse colour) but its not hammer action (too slow for Hammond style).

I think the Juno Stage would fit your needs...It has a very nice semi weighted keybed that is very playable..Midi connections for easy hook up...decent sounds and a media player too..
It could be a perfect second keyboard for you...and they can be found at reasonable prices..

Maybe a 76 semi weighted keyboard controller will work for you..
You can find used Roland A-30, A-33, and A-37 controllers at under $200...and use the sound source from your Yamaha..

Another option, although it depends on your taste; have you thought about the Roland Vr700 Combo. 76 keys with midi connections and draw bards etc etc. It is not for every one but my 2 cents . smile
