It's really sad....two of the rock greats passing on within the last few months.......Jon Lord of Deep Purple and Alvin Lee of Ten Years After.

I've been hooked on Alvin ever since I saw that performance he did of I'm Goin' Home at Woodstock (and then "At The Woodchopper's Ball" on his Undead album).

And there was Jon Lord's organ solo and Richie Blackmore doing that great guitar solo on Deep Purple's Highway Star.

I'm wondering if all the folks of that generation knew of the sheer talent they were experiencing at the time?

3 days of peace, love and music. Wish I was old enough to have been there!
That was the first year I made money playing the guitar though - 8th grade garage band playing a college grad party - $5 each and all we could eat - life was GREAT! (plus, we got to look at all the college girls!)
