No takers on this one again. I brought this up a long time ago and got the same response. I know of at least three Audyas with exactly the same fault but no one seems to bother, or no one plays above top C when they take a solo on nylon guitar.
Looks like it's another one of these things we need to live with

Sorry ... I might have missed this one before.

This is normal .... and here is why.

In conforming with the natural response (playable range etc) of each instrument, Ketron only samples as high and as low as the actual instrument will actually go. This means that in some instruments, you won't hear notes on all 88 keys. In such a case, the natural nausance/noise/effects of the instrument are assigned to keys above and below the instrument's sampled range. So in the case of the Nylon, you will get body taps (a person tapping the body of the guitar), fret sounds (running up and down the guiar neck as you change closed chords) ... etc all assigned to these high and low keys.

Again - normal operation.

Thanks,

AJ

Hi BobbyP - I did answer this question a couple of years ago. The problem with forums is they are very linear and its easy to miss things.

AJ has covered it correctly in any case. Originally the Hammond sounds didn't play above top C on the 76 note, but Ketron did give in there...although it is very incorrect. Instruments should always be kept in their range.
