I was able to have both the compact and the Maui side by side. The coverage is about the same, even though the compact says 170, the compact speaker layout is not a true line array, so spl and freq response changes rapidly so there is no uniform line array attributes.
The compact is great, this little gem is less money, more powerful, larger speakers, double sub, and a higher spl, I don't think anyone needs to get rid of anything, but technology moves on, newer cars, newer keyboards, and newer speakers

The Maui11 is more on the lines of the Compact, where the Nano is more of a conventional set-up. Even though the Nano mid/high speakers can be stacked as a line array, it is more conventional.
Today or tomorrow I will be A / B ing the Maui vs the Nano, but it's really not an apple to apples comparison.
The HK Elements are more of a direct comparison with the Maui28 ($1249) where the Maui11 goes after the Compact. LD systems, the makers of the MAUI product, used HK and Bose for the designs, and was trying to capture the best of the 2 with keeping the price down, from what I heard so far, it's easily a less expensive Bose alternative, not everyone will like the MAUI just like not everyone like the Bose.
I used to own 4 Double Bass L1 systems and a compact. I loved the sound, but then I discovered HK Audio Elements, which come out to be around the same price, but loved the sound much more, if felt more natural, and guitar players could play through it and not cringe.
I will post more later
