I ordered one of these from my local music store.

Tascam DR-2D recorder/player with options

They're $249 but the store price matched it for me at $159. It does what I want....looping, pitch shift without speed change, and speed change without pitch shift.......for slowing down and analyzing jazz runs that I hear in recordings.

I did a lot of Internet research and I can't find any other product that has those capabilities. Does anyone know of any other units that do the pitch and tempo changes before I take delivery on the Tascam (because they're being discontinued)?

I don't have that one, but I have 2 other Tascams, DR 05 and 07. They are both very reliable and have great features.
