Hi. I received brand new Audya 4 (software 5.0A) with more than 40 corrupt styles (styles with dot in front). Corrupt styles are at Factory Styles location, not at User Styles location. I saw these corrupt styles at the first time when I turned on Audya. What should I do? Thanks for your help.

Tom,

You will need to purchase and install the 2011 USB pen drive sounds and styles.
This is the only way to have access to the styles with a blue dot. You should have access to all the other standard Audya styles.

Thanks AJ. I checked and noticed that 47 Corrupt Styles came from 2011 USB pen drive. So it means, sound and styles from 2011 USB pen drive is not included when purchase new Audya in 2013. Is there anyway to remove 47 corrupt styles out of Audya? or I should leave it like that? Thanks.

I can anderstand your disappointment about corrupted styles,but you are not only one.Alomst all who purchase that instrument in the past or in 2013 haw some bad expiriance with Ketron ,and yours is one of this...
For me is unthinkable situacion, if you purchase new instrument in 2013,then inside them must be the latest software,with all update and all styles thill now...

You are correct. The styles in there are from the USB pen drive and not included when purchasing a new Audya - what is included is the new Operating System 5.0. You can leave them as they are as they cause no damage to the instrument. If you want to delete them, go to DISK - SYSTEM - FACTORY STYLES and delete the styles which start with the "&" sign.

Dusan ... all the updates from Ketron (Operating System, as is the case with the other manufacturers) are for free. As for the new styles and sounds, everyone who wants them purchases them regardless of when you purchased your AUDYA (even other manufacturers like Yamaha do this). If you were to buy a new Tyros 4 today, it will NOT include the Yamaha Premium styles which others have to purchase in order to obtain, however as they update the keyboard with newer operating systems and fixes, these are offered for free.

Hi AJ. I do not see any Styles start with the "&" sign at DISK - SYSTEM - FACTORY STYLES. So where are they in the hard drive to delete Corrupt Styles?

I agre with every word what you write,but haw you can explain "blue dots" in Tom Audya?Like I can anderstand,Toms Audya is new instrument right from Ketron factory.
BDW...maby here stay a reason whay two Adyas is not the same and dont behave the same....

And more,what I can do? My Audya was stolen from my music room and I plan to buy new one.I purchase all extra Styles and Souns once,and that mean I must buy the same Styles again and again????

TOM: First of all, congrats on the purchase of an Audya.

But I have to ask...what earth are you doing asking for support on a privately run general keyboard forum?

1) If your Audya is new you should be straight back on to the retailer. They should sort this out.

2) If your Audya was actually new it is highly unlikely to have the 2011 update on there - particuarly a corrupt version. I suspect the Audya may not be new from the factory or the retailer has tried to 'help' you out by copying styles onto the hard disk...or the instrument has been restored incorrectly by the retailer. Having dealt with Ketron for a number of years I have yet to see a bad instrument out of the box. Again I would want answers from my retailer on this one.

You will not see any '&' signs on the screen when selecting a style, the Audya changes this to an inverted V (the Audya logo) for Audio Styles.

DUSAN:
If you still have your USB keys and explain the situation to your distributor they might reinitialise them for you for use on your new Audya.

If they were stolen, you need to claim on insurance along with the keyboard. You cannot expect your distributor to give you a free Audya - or free USB drives, but you might be able to do a deal.
