too nasty to work outdoors, so I decided to record a couple songs. For this particular song, I used the Country Rock style, second intro, tempo of 143, PSR-3000, Crown CM-311A headset mic and recorded in one shot on the Zoom H2 recorder. I know, the piano playin was lousy, but my mind was still on damned boat. wink Next time I'll do a better job. smile

They both sounded good my friend. I couldn't help but remember Hank B. He sang He Stopped Loving Her Today when I was at the arranger jam a few years ago. He did a great job. I remember Susan shouting out to him, Hank, you still got it! I spent my day grocery shopping and getting the grill ready. It's become a tradition in my family to grill the Mother's Day dinner. I have a real nice prime rib roast and all the trimmings so it should be a great day. Talk to you soon.

Joe party

Firing up the grill here, too - sweet Italian sausage, grilled red, yellow and orange bell peppers, grilled Vidalia onions, all coated with extra-virgin olive oil. Of course, I have to do a one-hour NH job first, and hopefully, make Mother's Day a bit better for the ladies at Brightview as well.

I haven't recorded and posted any songs in quite some time, and forgot how to post the correct links. Thanks for the complements Joe.

Gary ... smells good and sounds good too ...

it is GREAT to see people posting music ... who knows maybe I'll get brave enough again ...

BTW ... you are also giving me great ideas for new songs to add to the 'arsenal' ...

I have a number of assisted living gigs coming up and the AD always sets some kind of "theme" for them ...I told her I would coordinate my playlist with the theme ... this week's is Country /Western, so "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" should go over well ... rotfl

PS ... made dinner for Lydia last night - couple of nice Porterhouse steaks on the grill, grilled corn on the cob, sauteed broccoli rabbe, sauteed Vidalia onion/mushrooms; with a really nice Pinot Noir ... it is the least i could do for her putting up with me for almost 50 years !!!
Today we go out to a NICE Italian Restaurant for dinner with our daughter and two grandkids ...

With our daughter pretty much a single parent and our grandkids 15 and 13 years old that ain't about to happen... But that's okay because I told them I will share their inheritance while I am still able to hear them say thank you... Tonight's dinner was great... Still trying to teach 13 yr old grandson what the vowel at the end of his name is all about but we are getting there ...
