ok guys we have all been waiting for this unit as George said I drove out to play it and I must say I was more Impressed then I thought I would be.

Fran you will love the keybed it feels very good and full sized keys, the Piano in the supernatural section are from the RD 700 nx series very warm but have multi layer feel in fact I feel Roland did a good job with the choice for what supernatural sounds they put in the unit, let's face it we performers only use 5-10 sounds in a given night they did a great Job with the selection .

Guitar sounds great and Sax sounds good as well
they used the 4 buttons on the left to give a SART type of affect aka leslie guitar noise ect close to Tyros 4 type of Effect.
I had very limited time today so I did not get into cord seq but I saw how it work and it is cool.

Styles are very Fresh the board has a full sound I was concerned about that after seeing and hearing the demos it sounds very warm.

light Weight very nice.
by the way if you use SMF Midi files you wont need to attach a ipad to see lyric and chord display it work just fine tune 1000 ect displays great and the midi files play great sound very full and warm .

sounds are very good in this unit .

the styles sound very good full sounding much better then BK-5 .
you guys are going to love the Keybed it feels very good close to G70 and full sized keys,
the 2 screen displays toggle and can be interchanged also Roland did a great job putting volume and important knobs in the right places so there is not a lot of jumping around to draw bars and vol knobs right next to each other so easy to make a change on the fly.

it does follow a lot of the BK-5 type format so if you have played one it will seem simple to use.

76 keys guys not since the days of G70 and 9000pro have we had this so I am excited to have 76 Key in this unit and the keyboard 1, 2 and lower buttons work just like BK-5 so you can have a triple layer in full keyboard mode.

I just had a little time to look at user stuff and it seem like this one gonna be a winner I was very impressed with the warmth of the sounds lots of sounds to choose from draw bar organ stuff very cool and edit in and out dirty to clean very easy . that is for you DIKI even though you will comment on my writing .
having a unit with 76 keys that sound like this at 20lbs is a winner for the guy that plays as many show a year as I do and most of the time with 2 units this unit will be a nice addition to my Shows.

also the vocal mic input very nice and clean reverb very nice no feedback with phantom as well it is better them tyros as a vocal / reverb only no harmony not a problem i feel it get over used any way .

it has all the BK-5 styles and sounds and many new ones along with many new styles , good intros and endings 4 different intros and I think 3 endings, but long intros not just short very musical as I was demoing it it felt like I could take some of those styles to my studio and record them and not sound like a arrag keyboard the ones in the rock and rock ballad section felt very real all I can say is it gives a very musical feeling not robotic feeling .

well so far thumbs up for this new unit I am sure in the weeks to follow there will be more talk about it but I think it will be a Keeper. Ron Johnson
