Has anyone ever bought something and wondered why, you bought it? My most recent purchase was the KORG 01/WFD. Why, who knows? I never intended to buy it, but I did. I was wandering around a flea market, not really looking to buy anything? When I spotted the KORG on the floor in a case for $325.00. Which by today's standers is rather cheap. Considering what they originally sold for in 1992. I think $2,300.00 give or take? Of course I have seen what these keyboards, go for used on Ebay. More then I paid for. Anyway, I kept thinking about it, and thinking about it, and well.... I bought it and brought it home. Of course it's sitting on the floor in it's case at the moment. I have played it a little and did get the sounds restored. Thanks to Nigel. I have thought about flipping it an maybe reselling it? Though that is still in the air. I know it's not a very popular synth, but it's still pretty cool for being a 20 year old keyboard.
I have made some rather unusual purchase's. My ARP Omni for example! Found that in a Pawn Shop, for $150.00. Still have it, and still can not part with it. Tried, but just could not do it. Then there's the Farfisa Organ. Paid $75.00 from an Antique Mall of all places. That's sucker is a Beast.
Although some of my other favorite purchases were my four antique phonographs. No those I could never sell. Mean too much to me.
Anyway's back to the KORG. Why did I buy it? No idea? Something in me, said buy it! Vintage synth, flea market. Maybe I just have a fondness for vintage keyboards? Or I really want to play it? It's possible?
Anyway, it was an impulse buy.
