I have picked up a KMA to check out for a couple of weeks and I find myself having questions. I can ask them here, but I thought if anyone who is familiar with it and has the time to take a phone call from me, or give me a call, it would be much easier and much appreciated.
If no one is able then I will post a few questions here.

ok, so I see Ive had a number of views but no comments so I guess the thing to do is just pose my questions here.

1st, I am totally new to korg arrangers. I was under the impression, perhaps wrongfully so, that korgs had more in depth editing of sounds than the yamahas. I find no way, so far, of editing sounds other than perhaps the effects.
any info here is helpful, the manual is not much more than a sales brochure.

Another question is exactly what sd card does it take. The card I have from my old casio is too large. The micro card I have for my phone and tablets, even with the included adapters seems too small.

I do not think at this point that I will be keeping it if the sounds are not editable. Though the factory ones are not half bad.

I do now definitely see Diki's and others viewpoints on the drums and even the whole style being much more in your face. I am enjoying the less compressed sound of even this old sound engine korg. The drums are more real in anbience/presence in my opinion.

any help is much appreciated. Should I be posting this on the korg forum?

I have a KMA as well as the Pa600. The answer to your question as to the sound editing is yes you can.

1: press the program button, top left.

2: select the sound, right hand buttons

3: Press the menu button top left hand of screen

This gives you access to all the editing facilities.

The SD card is a standard size I use a 16GB sandisk

I don't usually edit the sounds apart from tweaking the EQ and effects so I can't help you much there.

PM me if you need any more help, I'll do my best.

The Korg OS is great when you get to know it, but it is a fairly steep learning curve. I've been a korgy for 10 years or so.

KMA uses triton classic engine with afew more AI2 samples.triton programs will also load(not combis).go through pa50/80 resources and you will be amazed what this little monster can do.
