Soundwise..how close does the PA600 come to the PA3x....Demos on the Korg site...the PA3x blows away the PA600...but this may be by design (Korg)..

Anyone experienced the two side by side..

I am thinking about getting a PA600 as a stop gap for a month or two..sort of a hands on time..if the PA600 compares to the PA3x...and I would have to be willing to play the keys..

Any comments..

Fran' Here's a cheap stop gap cool2

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLAND-BK9-ARR...4#ht_919wt_1159

Regarding the Korg keyboard's I've heard both board's side by side and I didn't think there was a great deal of difference soundwise between the two, you can change the sound's of both dramatically using the on board EQ system. Having said that my ear's ain't what they used to be. It strike's me that Korg have cut down on buttons, VH, Sampler, build quality, outlet's etc etc to achieve the price of the Pa600

If you check the manuals the sound's and styles are the same just a few missing in the Pa600. Hope this help's

All the best

Col

PS: If you got a real keyboard you may cancel your Roland darthvader

Fran, pa600 is more like pa800.Few more sounds than pa800.
Pa3x is totally different beast.Good thing with pa600 is, it reads all pa3x styles.Sound wise there is only a little bit of a difference between pa600 and pa3x.

If I purchase a PA600..what are my chances of selling it in 2 months?

Will anyone here be interested in a discounted PA600? smile

BTW: How bad is the key feel..is it like the PA800(I didn't like the PA800..I think it is/was highly over priced)..Are the keys like the old PA50? In other words , only marginally better than a PSR keybed.. grin

I'm sure you'll be able to sell it quick. I'm sure it sounds quite comparable to the TOTL Korg. But I don't get why you want to only keep it 2 months?

Paul, it looks like I will justify buying the BK9 ..end of July or early August.....I am looking at the Korg to just have some fun (new toy)..It is low cost and as you say, most likely an easy resale...

I need to check a couple things on the BK9 first before I buy...I also am taking a two month break from the band (less toy money).. smile

The BK9 is a better fit for me..
