Thought I would post something from my little KMA - quick - one time through recordings. Kept it simple so the style could be heard.

Speaking of MOTL getting better, here is a BOTL that sounds good. I think I will dust mine off and pair it with my S910.

Hey Bernie,
Not bad for $500.00 is it? By the way, I use John Smies' Resources and the absolutely do make a big difference from the Out of the box sounds.

Sounds good. I'm only hearing sound from the right side though. Did you do it in stereo?

Don,
I'am not sure how I recorded these - it was just a quick effort.

As cheaper and cheaper arrangers become quite good sounding, the need gets ever greater that the manufacturers standardize MIDI control codes.

Two or three inexpensive arrangers offer possibilities outside the capabilities of TOTL arrangers, but only if you can link them and operate them as one.

If you feel the desire to try this, you MUST contact your arranger manufacturers, and get them to sit down together and agree on a common set of MIDI codes to control Variation and fill selection, break/fill/mutes, Intros and endings, etc..

Then we will be able to successfully Link two inexpensive arrangers and sound like we have a TOTL one!

microarranger has the same sound board as Pa 80 ( TOTL) arranger at the time ( the first of PA series). It also has same sound and seq editing plus creating own styles.

Hi Deane, good sounding stuff there. I really like the Korg harmonica. I truly believe that your audiences wouldn't really prefer a T4 over a 950, PA 600 or a KMA... As long as you play songs they like and remember they are happy. You are prof of what my signature says.
Give your back and wallet a rest. Be at peace with your KMA.

They care as much about what arranger you play as you do about what they drive!

As long as they get to see you, what does it matter? As long as you entertain them, same thing...

Can't argue with that. I just got home from playing at a large, upscale Alzheimer's Care Center, a place where less than 10 percent of the residents know their family's names, or even recognize them. They do, however, respond to the music, especially if it's songs they knew from somewhere in the cobwebs of their minds. Some just smile, some tap their feet, and some mouth the words to the songs. They could care less about the make, model, and features of the keyboard. They, like all audiences, just want to be entertained.

Cheers,

Gary cool
