Too me, a bit too abrupt from mp to f. Needs a few more sample layers in between.

Thanks again Dan.
What is your overall impression of the SD1000 and in particular how does it compare to the SD2 ? I am also looking forward to hear your demos on the TRUMPET sounds. Wonder if the famous Sweet Trumpet (SD5) can be found on this module. I am sure the drums, bass and sax will be outstanding anyhow.
Thanks again for posting,

regards,
John

Ketron SD1000 ROM is 256MB
the SD2 ROM is 64MB

They used the extended ROM to add many new sounds in every category. So basically, you will get a SD2 with some new sounds.

Sadly for me, the compatibility with the SD2 is not 100%
They have removed some sounds, and remapped some guitar/bass noises.

My overall impression is that Ketron SD1000 is between the traditional hardware keyboard sound and VST sounds.

There is some very good sounds, never found in any keyboards.

There is also some imperfect things...

It is really a plug and play box with sounds smile

I will continue posting demos of every sounds of the SD1000
