Hi,I just bought another KN7000 that I try to find for many time so now it is in the leaving room with is cousin SD5.What a good match.The kn7000 was new not mint but new its very rare and I negotiate for $1500.A chance that I have all the backups and very happy
Can some one tell me how to check the version of my KN7000

To check what version your KN7000 runs first shut your KN7000 off. Then click and hold down the SOUND GROUP keys [ PIANO] + [GUITAR] + [MALLET & ORCH PERC ] and keep these pressed during switching your KN7000 on.

Hi. Ijust download the version 1.4 =2 disk
I press memory 1-2-3-4 and turn on the keyboard the update was ok, after I press 60s & 70s] - Hold [SOUL & R & B] simultaneously - [MODERN DANCE] to Initialize the keyboard.

After I press SOUND GROUP keys [ PIANO] + [GUITAR] + [MALLET & ORCH PERC and power on to see the version but no luck its still the version 1.3

What do you hope for by changing the O/S version?

Hi,Roger,thanks for your reply Before and many years ago I had some KN7000 and I always came back to the KN7000 plus an sd5.
I remember that members said that is was important to update the version 1.4 and I thing that the version 1.6 was for those who have the software sd-jukebox.
The upgrade 1.4 that I download in the kn7000 was done with succes but when I make the check its 1.3.
I tought it was an important upgrade

It is important to verify the download before attempting the actual upgrade. When the first screen is displayed there is an option to do a CHKDSK. If that test is successful you can then do the upgrade. If there is any doubt about your ability to do the upgrade you should not try to do it.

All my KN7000's are running version 1.6.

If it wasn't for my needs for SD Jukebox I would happily have stayed on version 1.3

I just did upgrade my backup Kn7000 from v1.3 to v1.6. and found out that the issue Howard talked about is not really and issue: When you upgrade your Kn with v1.4 and you verify the new version on board by pressing piano-guitar-mallet while powering up, it still show v1.3 !!! Don't know why ! But you have to presume v1.4 is now on board and proceed with the v1.6 disks. Only then, the keyboard will show the real value (1.6). Weird isn't it ?
