Very sorry to hear this, Scott. Here's hoping for a strong recovery.

Be strong, my friend...

Thank you Gary. She's quite a lady with an attitude that is making her get better.

Hi Nigel

Thank you for the comments. I didn't realize you had a stroke let alone having a swallowing issue for that long. I read this to my wife and she just said,"wow"

It's things like this that help give more hope. She's doing pretty good with swallowing now. It started with me spoon feeding her in the hospital. Just tiny amounts. And she was so happy she could eat again after about 6 weeks. Her attitude has been fantastic all along after she became semi-conscious after weeks and weeks of being knocked out. Every spoon I gave her of apple sauce she would say something (this is right after she was able to talk a bit) like this is really very tasty, this is really very good, I like this, etc, etc after each tiny spoon. It really made me take note on how much we have to be thankful for.

Did you have any vision issues? This is one thing we're concerned about as we have to see a neuro ophthalmologist and a tech said that with what she has glasses won't do it. We can't yet imagine what it is this specialist does.

Thanks again

Scott
