Ian my wife came here from Canada when she was a young girl. Her Mother's folks are from near the lakes. Could that be Ontario? Her Dad'S Folks farmed out to the west and could that be Alberta? Or do I have this backwards.
Man these Canadian women are something. Real sweethearts most of the time. H
However, Penny and her three sisters can all go from sweetheart to bi*ch in 3 seconds or less.

Hey can I get a sharp knife or saw and cut this "Charms Bar" off of my new free Laptop. It's making me mad and I don't want to take this out on someone on the forum and get in trouble with Nigel again. He OK in my book I don't give a crap what some of you other guys say about him.

"The Lakes" sounds like Ontario to me, Boo, and "out west" would likely be Alberta or British Columbia.

I'm from the East, which is comprised of the Atlantic Provinces; Nova Scotia (which is where Cape Breton Island is located), Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. That was my territory when I worked as a Yamaha demonstrator/clinician.

In any case, it's good to have you, and your bent sense of humor (which I somehow understand perfectly) back on SZ.

Ian I saw Avonlea 3 times. Have you watched it. Is the place that neat? I really enjoyed the kids growing up and sticking with the transition that long. What a great show!!!!!!

Yes, Avonlea is about Prince Edward Island...it is beautiful and is really that neat! My former Yamaha boss was from Prince Edward Island and was bass player for many years for the singer, Anne Murray. He's become a wicked jazz player and now plays mostly in Nova Scotia.

Cape Breton Island, where I live, has extremely beautiful scenery, and one of it's highways, the Cabot Trail, was voted as one of the 10 most beautiful highways in the world.

I've driven it many times, and once, several years ago, in my old 1949 restored Cadillac Coup de Ville hardtop (with all the windows down!) in the autumn when the leaves were changing...breathtaking! It was like going back in time.

Sometimes we take for granted the beauty around us...I love living here on the island. Very peaceful. Lots of music, too.

Prince Edward Island is quite similar...a tad less rugged and smaller, but very picturesque.
