Ian this is a few miles from my home. Check it out. I'm gonna Google Prince Edward Island now.

Wow! Looks great Boo, but, I don't imagine it would be a good place to live...unless you are a lizard. ha ha!

Fantastic scenery, for sure.

I have a one and only step-brother who lives in PEI, near Charlottetown...he's just retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He loves it there.

The winters here in Cape Breton can be brutal...easily -30 Celsius...summers are short but reach +30 Celsius...definitely a land of extremes.

Probably that's why there are so many musicians...unless you ski, not much else to do all the long winter but play music.

Ian

Ian, Check out my FaceBook page. I just uploaded the three different mountain ranges that this valley that I live is surrounded by. They each have a complete different look. The Colorado Nat'l Moument is Red Rock. The Grand Mesa is the worlds largest flattop mountain on Earth with over 300 lakes and the Bookcliffs has it on personality too.

Sparky, I'm 250 miles across the Continental Divide from Boulder. The water would have to be 12000 deep to get to me I think!!! I'm just 17 miles from the Utah state line. Boulder is closer to Kansas.
Sparky, The Dr Jnon link is not working. When I was in New Orleans he used to come over where the band I gigged with played and he'd sit in as Mac Rebennack. Dr John came much later.

He worked with Charley Madwell (Tenior Sax) who wound up being the queen of Angola prison. I did get to work with those two once. Quite a gig. Mac (Dr John) also left town for California with a very good friend who played Tenor and is still active in NO named Jerry Jumonville and a Drummer friend of mine Freddy Staehle went with him too. Others were Eddie Hoener, Gyp the Jitter Bug and Ronnie Barrose who was suppose to be Dr John but wouldn't do it so Mac did it.

Man I'm not sure I'd know any of the folks working with him now. He did a lot of stuff with David Fathead Newman (Ray Charles) tenor man from I Got A woman while he worked in California.

I'll Google Dr John and Candy.

Sparky, If you like this sax you're really gonna dig Ray Charles doing an instrumental with "Fathead." It the old standard "Ain't Misbehavin." Dig it man!

I used to listen to this and fall asleep.

Excellent stuff, Boo. Ray was such a superb accompanist and Fathead is as smooth as silk. Ray's solo is perfect!

Thanks,

Ian
