Hi All,

Just wondering, does anybody know if the styles from some very old Yamaha keyboards have ever been converted over? Internal styles from the PSR 5700, PSR 6000, PSR 500, PSR SQ16 etc... I think the oldest styles I have are from the PSR 1700. These would bring back a lot of memories!

Thanks for reading.

Go to the PSR-Tutorial site and click on the styles tab. More styles than anyone can imagine, and many from older keyboards. Most, but not all of the older styles will play quite well, and sometimes better, in the newer PSR and Tyros boards. The exception to this is the 5700, which was a completely different format.

Good Luck,

Gary cool

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your reply. I've already been to that site but I didn't see any of the PSR keyboards I mentioned unless I was looking in the wrong place? I checked under the Yamaha Styles section and the earliest is the PSR 730.

I'll dig into the archives and see what I can find for you. I know I have the old 5700 styles, but they only play in a 5700 because of the format. I believe I have everything from the PSR-550 forward. Let me know which ones you want and I'll be glad to send them to you.

Hi Gary,

Thanks very much that's very generous of you smile

Ideally just looking for the ones I've mentioned in my initial thread if possible:

PSR 5700 or 6700
PSR 6000
PSR 500
PSR SQ16

Thanks once again.

The PSR-500 and 550 styles are pretty much the same, so that't not a problem. The 5700 styles, which are an alien format, have been converted by some folks, but I don't know if I have them in my archives. I also believe the 6000 and 7000 styles are the same, with a few additions, so they're not a problem either.

I've never seen conversions for the SQ16, so I can't be of any help with these.

Cheers,

Gary cool
