Well Deane, no one can say you didn't give the instrument a good try.

What's next on your agenda?

When someone that has trouble with some of the simplest aspects of Roland arranger operation wants to sell it, no skin off my nose!

Not every arranger is perfect for every person. I have felt, pretty much from Deane's first posts about the BK-9, that it wasn't the arranger for him.

I hope he has enjoyment from whatever else he decides to play. They are ALL pretty damn good, these days. I would suggest, to be perfectly frank, that he returns to whatever brand he was the most familiar with before he got the BK-9. Pretty much ANY brand change is going to perplex those unwilling or incapable of changing long standing habits and expectations. I personally find Korg's quite complicated, especially much of their saving and loading options, so don't think I consider myself immune!

Of course, you have to consider that, if he was that happy with it in the first place (his old arranger), why would he make the move? To another brand, at that... I only hope that whatever he moves to will provide the happiness and ease of use that he apparently didn't find in the last one. LOL

This is where Midi (If properly implemented) and VST integration comes in, as you keep your existing keyboard (With its OS and layout that you are used too) and then add the additional voices and features as required. (Quite frankly this should have been implemented as standard on arrangers a long time ago)
