Don gave me another assignment last week, a neat Cajun song about a Voodoo lady named Marie Laveau that's a lot of fun to play and sing. I recorded the song directly to the S-950 using the onboard audio recorder and the blues rock style.

Marie Laveau

Cheers,

Gary

Good job Gary ...
I did some research and apparently the original was done by a guy named Bobby Bare ... here is one of his that is closer to 'home' for you Gar ... wink

Watching that vid made me realize that there is quite a physical resemblance between Bobby Bare and AI winner Scotty McCreery ...

I heard Bobby Bare do it live somewhere long ago. He spiced it up quite a bit!

Thanks guys. I performed this song for the first time tonight, the audience loved it. Guess I'm still doing something right. Can't thank Don Mason and Eddie Shoemaker enough for turning me onto some new songs during the past couple weeks. Keeps the mind sharp.

Thanks again,

Gary cool
