Hi

After playing the S950 for some time now, I find that switching VH on/off is a pain since there is no dedicated button and I have to go to the menu in between my singing to turn it on or off.

I was contemplating using a pedal for this. I have never used a pedal ever.

Could you help me on what I could use to turn VH on or off. A footswitch or an expression pedal?

Thanks

Sunny

Any foot switch will work. I use two Yamaha F7s (typical sustain pedal) for a variety of commands from VH on/off,to Glide, Sustain, Fills, etc. It will leave your hands free to play rather than push buttons.

Yup - use a momentary on/on switch ... like a typical Yamaha or Roland sustain pedal. I have used 2 side, by side for years - one for sustain and one for harmonies. VITA:L part of my show.

Either pedal will work. My preference is the sustain type because on many piano type registrations that is what I use it for.
