Getting past inevitatble "sounds like a toy" remarks, the little piano does have a nice piano sound. And, the keys look pretty sturdy and much like a real piano.
I remember some of the awful toy pianos being sold, where the "black" keys were actually painted on the all white keyboard...at least they were at the appropriate places.
I also remember when working as a teacher for Yamaha, being on a seminar in Scarborough Ontario (Head Office) and we were required to sit at and play this huge upright acoustic piano, that was supposed to represent how a little kid feels when seated at a real piano.
Yamaha had the piano built especially for this purpose and shipped it around to various schools and seminars so teachers could empathize with kid students.
It functioned exactly like an ordinary piano. I'm 6'1" or so and my feet would barely reach the pedals on the true to scale bench provided.
