Hi Guy's

Latest offering, needed something to do this afternoon. One take with a few tweak's in Cubase.

Be kind remember it's Christmas smile

Good job Col with Always On My Mind, but I would have loved to have heard you sing it without the harmonizer. Same with Mary's Boy Child. The vocalizer sounds fine, but I believe it detracts from your vocals, which I categorize as excellent. You have a clear, soft voice that sounds fantastic without the enhancement of the vocalizer.

Thanks,

Gary cool

Liked them both a lot! Great sound. As Gary said, a little harmonizer is a lot. I'm learning to use mine even more sparingly these days!
Merry Christmas Col!

Thank you guy's

Regarding the VH I'm afraid I have to obey her indoors she says she prefers the harmony (I have to live with her, 47 years and counting, must be doing something right)she is of the opinion that my voice sounds weak without a tweak LOL

Ah well can't please everyone, I know which side my bread is buttered on.

Here's another old one for you, I should quit while I ahead LOL

Kind regards as ever and thanks' for all the entertainment during the year. Let's hope next year is every bit as good.

Tell her to leave your singin' alone and you will not criticize the way she cooks and does laundry.
On second thought, you'd better just mind her.

Hi Don

I'm not that brave.

Right ! I've just had my Christmas Dinner, assuming that the fruit from Christmas Pud doesn't block my Stoma and we finish up in A & E at the local hospital, all will be well.

I've just re-mixed and uploaded an "almost" harmony free version (Things I do for you lot), enjoy.

Another old one.

Me too. I never say anything unless I can say something positive, and I am. That was great Col.

Bernie ... I understand what you are saying, as I often feel the same way ... BUT, look what Uncle Dave's comments to Gary about "Merry Christmas Darling" did - they made him take a listen to his recording and he realized it might not have been his best ... sometimes that constructive criticism is what we need ...

Col,

I too agree that your voice is very good already on its own and doesn't need all that vocal processing; and indeed I liked the second version of Always only mind much more.
But I would go one step further and add that your vocals are so good that they deserve a better rhythm section; my feeling is that in both versions the drums were kind of bland and personally I would have preferred a "snappier" snare and -overall- more bite in all the percussions (and I know that the G-70 can deliver in this department).
Just a suggestion... smile

Hi Andrea

Re-mixed again, tweaked the drum track and applied EQ to the accompaniment just to drop the organ a little (Good old Cubase)

Hope you like it, short of re-recording the drum track this is about as much as I can do (I think)

Col,

Yes in deed this is right on the money.
The vocalist should always be out front and the accompanying group in the background and you have that right balance in this one.

Thanks for sharing with us.
