Hope the fix works, should be fine so long as you are screwing into or gluing onto decent material.

Just to correct myself, I now think the speakers I'd heard before were the MS03 and MS02 models; I don't think I've heard the MS04s.

Specs don't tell the whole truth. Just because a speaker claims to be able to produce a 38Hz sound doesn't mean it is FLAT down to there. You get what you pay for. A Mackie HR824 is ±1.5 dB, 37 Hz to 20 kHz. And a pair of those will set you back $1400 or so. Pair of 6" Rokit's is maybe $400.

You are going to need a powered sub with those or you'll blow them up trying to get the lows that a pair of 15"'s will deliver.

Thanks for the replies. I glued and screwed the back panel. I played it last nite and what a difference! I think some of those unpleasant sounds I heard the first time I played Tyros 5 was the speaker cabinet vibrating before falling out completely. This was a blessing in disguise and saved some bucks not having to buy new speakers. I've spent way to much money this month.............. -charley
