Hi.I'm about to buy a new sound module.I've been thinking about the new SD50.I saw the demo videos of it.I'm tempted to buy it.
Has anyone got one? What are they like?

My current piano is a 2005 Roland RD700sx.I want more variety of pianos and electric pianos. The RD has 30 electric pianos. Some of them are good.On the SD50 there is a sound called Tremolo EP2.It sound beautiful. It was on the demo video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmH8lco9rfk

Does this module need a computer or ipad to run it? I was comparing the Ketron modules that need an ipad.

How many electric pianos does the SD50 have. Are they different from any of the RD series pianos?

Thanks.

No you don't need a computer to run it. It just interfaces with a Windows or Mac PC to allow you to create backing tracks and use it with SONAR. See http://www.rolandus.com/products/details/1090/features/ at the Roland website and it says

"Leave the computer at home and playback your backing tracks or music on the Roland Mobile Studio Canvas."
