The guitar club I am supporting at an elementary school in Louisville had a great first semester on the new equipment...so good that another school has asked if they can utilize the equipment for their program.

That means more out-of pocket for maintenance and two guitars per semester I'll give the top players, BUT it ALSO means 20 total kids will be exposed to music.

My goal is simple. I'll be "out of this world happy" if even one kid per semester makes a connection with music, art, creative writing...anything that will make them think and appreciate whats so great about the things that are out there for them. This is a school where disadvantaged an handicapped kids go, so these dear little folks need every chance they can get.

Cost per year...$2,000.00 tax deductible (I'd do it if it was not deductible). You can't imagine the good I get out of this simple little program started by a sweet, dedicated elementary teacher...Angela Hardin.

I'd adopt her in a heartbeat (and her husband, too, who would probably be part of the deal LOL).

That's wonderful. You are helping to influence musicians of the future who will be making great music long after we have all moved on.

Thanks, Jim and Nigel. It's no surprise that you two would completely understand my joy in being able to participate in something so simple, pure and meaningful.
