Hello,

Technics has more than any other key to edit a lot of ways of creating new rhythms. However, there is hardly any documentation, such as the Drums track can be edited.

The current songs are dominant in the Drums area. Often therefore have two drums tracks are taken, whether at Styles or midis.

How are your experiences with user-Kit and Drum Edit?
Is there additional documentation about User Kit and Drum Edit?
The explanations are well known in the user guide on page 99

Hi Harry,

You are right about little info using the USER DRUM KIT. I stumbled on it years ago and always use it when doing styles in COMPOSER. What I have experienced in the drum sounds in the keyboard with factory settings, some of the sounds are very low. This is where the USER DRUM KIT can come in handy. You have several possibilities of not only raising the volume of the drum sound but adding reverberation, moving it left or right, etc. Learning to use it will give the drums a much more realistic sound.

Hi John,

The reason of my question is:
Our KN 7000 is old more than 10 years.
During this time, has also changed the drum sound.
About editing the USER KIT DRUM EDIT and there is little to find information.

Maybe someone has detailed descriptions of settings.
If we could collect this information, we would all benefit from it.

OK, guys--Let's start with the basics.

Either be in RIGHT1 or RIGHT2, it doesn't matter.
Click on DRUM KITS
Go to Page 4, which will be USER KIT
Click on PROGRAM MENUS
Click on SOUND EDIT
You will see a screen of DRUM SOUND EDIT

Before I go any further, you need to be FULLY understanding of SOUND EDIT before you can understand how to use and edit USER KIT. Until you know this, I suggest you hold off in trying to use USER KIT. Once you know how to use SOUND EDIT you will then not be lost in how to find the drum sounds you want to change. At least with the above that I have stated, you will see the screen for doing editing in USER KIT.

ONE MORE THING--Using USER KIT isn't going to make your keyboard a hot 2014 drum king keyboard unless you know fully how to use COMPOSER. If you don't at least put in a preset style into COMPOSER, in order to use USER KIT in your drum tracks, you will have no change. You must make your drum sound change by using it in Composer or doing a live or STEP RECORD track in SEQUENCER. Also, making any changes in USER KIT, make sure you have saved them. Good luck.
