Here's a live recording of Stuart using vArranger and his 1 day old Surface Pro

The piano is New York Grand in Kontakt VST
The guitar and vocals are from Dimension Pro VST
The Organ is C3 sample in Kontakt Vintage Organs VST
The style sounds are from a soundfont called Evanessence2.

Do you like it?

I like it Dan..

But my main worries is still how do Yamaha, Roland and Korg styles sound straight out of the box?

Korg, not yet working

Yamaha and Roland, quite good.
Can be improved with GM SoundFonts

I need a very minimal setup on my gig, if i can do everything in one device the better. My question is can i practically use vArranger with soundfonts on a T5 or T7 laptop? I mean i don't want additional sound module to hookup. I just want one laptop, a controller and a powered speaker (with vocal effects) on my gigs.
Is this possible without noticeable latency?

Thanks

Dan, in a very short answer, can you please tell could I:

- use vArranger as a one-box arranger, using just VST instruments?
- use vArranger at it full capacity using a touchscreen monitor?
- use vArranger to record the performance, not necessary as a full sequencer, but at least to be able to replay what was recorder playing live?
- use vArranger confidently for a live performance, without risking lock-ups of any kind?

THank you!

Great work!

Yes, it is possible to use only one laptop + one midi keyboard to gig without latency

Yes, you can use vArranger with only virtual instruments

Yes, touch screen is enough

Yes, you can record your performance as WAV or MP3

Yes, vArranger is a stable software, but before going to gig you must test your setups many hours to be sure that all is OK

Thank you Dan for the prompt reply.
I am thinking...

If only there was a demo version available...

Guys,
I have had Dan's vArranger for almost 2 years now and have used it without any issues on gigs. I use mine with Ketron's SD2 module. I also have used Yamaha and Roland styles and they are pretty nice with vArranger. My controller is a Roland A-Pro 800.

Dan has been outstanding as a provider of support and answering questions for his product. I have often said the big manufacturers should be just half as good as Dan in providing support and upgrades.
