these are in ogg vorbis format, a very clever compression technique, far superior to the absymal real player, you pay for the quality in increased download time.
To play them you will need either the proprietry codec in your player, or, simpler, the latest winamp (or a later winamp than 2.7x) which is a free download from www.winamp.com

Thanks Alain: Superb Demos, this will be another "bell-ringer" for Technics. It's been a long wait, but worth it. A new era has begun. Happy playing to all. ARJ
that's because ogg vorbis is a very good codec, probably my favourite, and quite superior to mp3 and most other methods available at this time. Unfortunately it is only used by a relatively small number of people "in the know" and has no great commercial backing, quite ironic considering the obvious sound quality benefits, and a cause for regret.
Advanced Audio Coding, an option which the 7000 software will give you, is also superior to mp3 by all independant accounts, but has some commercial support because it contains digital copyright protection and is thus attractive to copyright holders.
Comparative testing of this codec will follow soon...
I can see that SoundForge handle this filetype very well too, so the programmer are probably knowing this things better than me Quite good demos, if this are played by use of styles/patterns, then the KN7 really play well. Hmmm..... GJ
