Joe,

I am always looking for good midi sites to convert to sheet music. Being old I need guidance.

John,

I use that one first, but it does not always give a hit. Maybe Joe's guessing game will bring forth something better.

I look for midi with a solo instrument, as it prints better.

Hi Bernie.
Yes that is a good way.But what I like is to go onto a site and spend some time browsing, this way not only do you get the file you wanted (most of the time)but the browsing gives a lot of midi files, and you end up thinking,Oh yes I remember that tune, start to download it,and in 20 minutes time.you have downloaded lots of midi files, and by that time you start thinking, what did I want to find in the first place.
Is it not great!!.
Sincerely.
Joe

OK Phil,
I give up. What site are you talking about. There is no link, no name or even a hint.

Hi.Now to the good people who spotted my "ER""ER" deliberate mistake. Here is the info you require to enter the Midi File site,(Oh I wish I could vanish) http://www.wtv-zone.com/REMEMBERTHEN/musichall1.html It's only a few days since I was promoted from Junior Member, and now I am old and forgetful.
Next Thursday 16-12-04 I have my cataracts removed,(yes really)maybe that will help.
SORRY!!!.
sincerely.
Joe

Hi Joe
That's a real good point about browsing. I think most of us can recall a tune when it comes to mind, but recalling tunes in the first place is a different matter.
