Hi Dave, Just download the attachment to your PC then unzip, this will give you 4 files No 4 being the index.take the other files and copy to your 3.5" floppy drive, then load your disc into the KN7 and the sounds are in 3 sets and these will load into sound memory select "memory" under the sound section, this will give you 4 pages of 10 sounds,as these sounds were created by Sound Art in Germany for the KN5,6,6500 and 7000 the files need to be re saved to disk on the KN7 to let you be able to load a single voice load into sound memory. the single load is covered in the owners manual and even better in Alec's book "Getting the most from your KN7000" an almost must for any KN7 owner, even having had a KN7 for many years and also having been a Technic's dealer and sales man back in the 1990's it still teaches you those special little tricks that still keeps the KN so far out in front as to it's fantastic operating system even at 12+years old.
Best regards John.
P.S. Thanks Daniel for your uploads, I had the 120 disk but was missing the 80 sound disc, Thanks.
P.P.S. By the way I quoted 4 files, one being the index, this is for the other download of 120 sounds, this one gives 3 files file 3 the index the other 2 being sounds the rest is the same anyway. (Just an old age moment blush frown blush)

Hi John,

Since most computers made the last five years or longer and they no longer have floppy disc drives, wouldn't it be easier and better to put these sounds on an SD card? With my mentioning this, I have never had success in opening zipped files to an SD card and they work in the KN7000. I don't know what I do wrong that it won't work. I drag and drop to the SD card and putting the SD card in the keyboard, it shows no files.

Mark

This may not be the case with you,I have had this problem, and found that there was a folder hiding the files that the SD card wasn't reading.

The main problem with the KN7 is if the files are in a folder it does not matter if you use an SD or floppy the system used by Technics does not enable you to open folders only files of a pre- arranged format ie:- cmp or in this case tm.
As far as the fact most modern PC and laptops do not have 3.5" drives, all but the very latest and most expensive Keyboards still tend to use floppies, either directly or that software is supplied on disk, also as most pro keyboard players tend to get their pound of flesh out of their kit, those of us in that boat floppy drives are essential and many makers supply USB connectable drives which work very well (tested them out on my daughter's laptop) and they are not too expensive on Ebay and the like.
Best regards John.

By using the KN7 SDExplorer programm you can copy technics files to SD card on your PC or labtop for direct use on your KN7. No need for 3.5" drive. I do not know if the software is still for sale.
